Vidya Balan is a saree connoisseur, so it was no surprise that when she wanted something truly special and elegant, she opted for a one-of-a-kind creation by master craftsman, Gaurang Shah.

With a high profile client list including the likes of Sonam Kapoor, Chitrangada Singh, Priya Mani, Taapsee Pannu, Sonali Bendre and Kiron Kher, Gaurang created a traditional Kanjeevaram saree with a lion design and a twenty inch gold border for Vidya Balan. She wore it recently for a jewelry store opening in Kerala.
Says Gaurang, “When I met Vidya for the first time, I was awed by her simplicity and understanding of saris. She loves to wear Kanjeevaram saris and carries them off with such ease and pomp. She`s talented, smart and down-to-earth and excels in making style statements in saris.”
