You heard it here first. Sabyasachi is the Grand Finale designer for Lakmé Fashion Week winter/festive 2013.

He returns to the platform (where he debuted) after a hiatus of 5 years. He says of his appointment:
“Presenting my collection at LFW is always a special occasion. This is where I made my debut as a designer, which provided me with a platform to be recognised by the world of fashion. Returning as a Grand Finale designer after five years is very exciting. The show promises to be truly grand.”
Will he showcase his range of signature saris and lehengas? Or will he offer us something completely different? Your guess is as good as mine. Only time will tell what he plans on showcasing, but it promises to be spectacular.
A sweet homecoming I say.
LFW winter/festive is set to take place from 23rd to 27th August.
