Yup, this afternoon we had lunch with American designer Kenneth Cole at Indigo Colaba and he was both charming and insightful. I loved the observations he made about India and how it was no longer anything like the one he had visited 15 years ago.
He even told us we should be very proud of our fashion & lifestyle evolution and then proceeded to share his own achievements. (Did you know btw, that his business began 30 years ago out of the back of a 40-foot trailer?!)
With the launch of 7 Kenneth Cole stores across India (in tandem with Reliance Brands) and his passion project – AmfAR, he brought the likes of Sharon Stone, Hillary Swank and crooner Kesha together at a gala in Mumbai last night in support of AIDS research & prevention.
I also thought it was kinda sweet that for once Nowshad was just as excited to meet a designer! In fact his very first Instagram went out to none other than our man KC :)
“Lunch with @KennethCole - the man who first convinced me to spend $100 on a pair of shoes.”
Psst! I hear Abhishek Bachchan told Kenneth Cole a similar story, how cool is that?!
Oh and if you recall I told you ages ago how my pal Sonny Caberwal was a Kenneth Cole model as part of the We All Walk in Different Shoes campaign. How cool is that?!
PS. @KennethCole is on Instagram and Twitter so make sure you tweet him a quick thank you for visiting and come back soon please! xoxo
Now take a look at the Fall Winter 2013 Kenneth Cole Collection called Urban Liberation, how fitting :)
