Kristen Stewart is probably one of the hottest actresses in Hollywood right now. Post the Twilight saga, she’s got quite a few films in her kitty. Now she’s bagged ONE huge fashion campaign – Chanel. She was just announced as the face of Chanel’s Métiers d’Art Paris-Dallas collection appearing at the close of the runway show wearing dull orange high-waisted pants and a grey crop top. The campaign will be shot by Karl Lagerfeld (Lagerfeld is an accomplished lensman and shoots all of Chanel’s campaigns) and will hit magazines and online by early next year. We can’t wait to see how this unfolds, banyard chic or Rodeo style? Yee haw!
Stewart replaces Tilda Swinton, who was the face of the Chanel’s Métiers d’Art Paris- Edinburgh collection owing to her Scottish ancestry.
This is Stewart’s second major fashion campaign, the first one being Balenciaga’s perfume Florabotanica. She’s been a muse to its then creative-director Nicholas Ghesquiere. Stewart first met Karl back in 2012, when they collaborated for a photo shoot wearing Chanel couture. She had even attended the brand’s Haute Couture show last July. She has been spotted outfitted in the French house’s duds at the prestigious BAFTA awards and MET gala both in 2010 and the aforementioned couture show.

Last night, Chanel showcased their pre-fall or as it’s known: the Métiers d’Art Paris collection in Texas, America. Loosely dubbed Back in Dallas, the theme was all about the Lone Star state. Stars speckled the outfit while ponchos and fringing were given preference. The classic Chanel suit was given a boxier silhouette.

So why exactly was the venue chosen? It marked Chanel’s return to fashion post WW II, while her home country France shunned her collection, it was America that welcomed her with open arms.
