Miley Cyrus has been in the news for all the wrong reasons. From her break-up with Liam Hemsworth to smoking cannabis and not to forget her twerking her butt off at the MTV Video Awards with Robin Thicke. She’s been spotted wearing just nipple pasties and a thong under a mesh dress that has left people questioning whether or not she is heading the Britney Spears way (in case you were living under a rock, back in 2007, Spears had a very public breakdown and was later diagnosed as being bi-polar). Now, Cyrus seems to have started the New Year on a fashionable note. She’s landed a mah-jor fashion campaign, with none other than pal Marc Jacobs.
The singer channels a very grunge, broody look wearing quite a bit of clothing (which is quite unlike her). Set on a beach, with a few zombie like models, the campaign was shot by famed British photographer David Sims after frequent collaborator Juergen Teller declined to shoot Miley. Oh boy! The reason? He didn’t want to shoot her as Jacobs admitted to fashion mag WWD. Guess that twerking must have really put him off, eh?

Miley was first introduced to Jacobs via his business partner, Robert Duffy and has gone on to wear many of his outfits on the red carpet and even shed her clothes for the “Protect the Skin You’re In” campaign.
Th recently departed Louis Vuitton creative head has in the past used Chloe Sevigny, Dakota Fanning, Helena Bonham Carter, Victoria Beckham, M.I.A and Meg White.
What do you think of the campaign? I think she cuts quite an arresting figure with her cheekbones (they look like they could cut glass!) and her blonde hair. She’s perfect for it, in my opinion.
