The Filmfare Awards are the grand-daddy of all Awards shows in India. Last night, the film glossy held a special bash to announce the nominations. A whole bevy of stars descended and we were privy to some gorgeous looks. Want to know which ones they are? Read on…
Alia Bhatt in Alexander McQueen:
Alia Bhatt looks sublime in this Alexander McQueen strapless gown. The colour looks gorgeous against her pale skin.
Sophie Choudry in Pankaj & Nidhi
Sophie Choudry picked a Pankaj & Nidhi ensemble that she styled with black pumps and a Bottega Veneta clutch.
Shruti Haasan in Namrata Joshipura
Shruti Haasan wore a metallic trouser suit from Namrata Joshipura’s collection. I think this outfit is perfect for her personality and body type. Bravo, for trying to do something quite different with your hair compared to the rest of the starlets.
Jacqueline Fernandez in Pucci
Wowza! Talk about bringing sexy back! Jacqueline Fernandez picked a super short Emilio Pucci number that had sheer panels on the sleeve and at the hem. Platform Christian Louboutins completed her look. Boy, is anyone else envious of those toned gams?
Sonam Kapoor in Anushka Khanna
Sonam Kapoor wore a deep blue column gown from Anushka Khanna‘s LFW winter/festive 2014 collection. She styled her hair into a braided updo and slicked on some deep red lipstick. I think the over all look is quite fabulous but is it just me or does there seem to be a wee bit issue with the fit at the armpits?
Deepika Padukone in Pankaj & Nidhi
Deepika Padukone‘s printed sheath dress from Pankaj & Nidhi looked miles better than the Alexander McQueen gown that she wore for the Screen Awards 2014. I love the pop of colour from her court shoes. However, I would have preferred a chunky cuff instead of the necklace but that’s a teeny, tiny grouse.
Shraddha Kapoor
I’m not on board with rise and fall hems but Shraddha Kapoor’s pale pink dress looked absolutely smashing on her. Bonus points for the pop of bright pink on her lips and glittery shoes.
Konkana Sen Sharma in Payal Khandwala
Konkana Sen Sharma picked a blue Payal Khandwala ensemble. While I love the draping, I just wish Sharma didn’t pick that sling bag to wear with the outfit.
Huma Qureshi in Shivan & Narresh
Huma Qureshi showed us that she can take a runway piece and make it her own. She picked a Shivan & Narresh resort sari that she styled as a draped skirt, showcasing the one-sleeved printed blouse. We like!
Vaani Kapoor in Vizyon
Vaani Kapoor picked a strapless metallic dress from Vizyon. I love her cascading curls and sparkly shoes but the dress? Not so much.
Which was your favourite look from the night?
