With Manish Malhotra having kicked-off Lakme Fashion Week in Mumbai last night, it was only expected that the front row would be shining with the brightest stars from Bollywood.
And Manish didn’t disappoint in that department. Dotting the landscape at the head of the ramp were stellar actresses like Kajol, Kangana Ranaut and Esha Gupta – all of whom wore an ensemble by the designer.

Urmila Matondkar looked resplendent in a lime-green and off-white anarkali with sheer panels from the waist down. She wore it with beige pants underneath.

Sonali Bendre wore a variation of what Urmila wore. Except, Sonali’s anarkali was sleeveless and it had a lace yoke. In tones of brown and burgundy, Sonali also wore it with pants underneath and accessorized it with a Jimmy Choo clutch.
kangana ranaut
Kangana Ranaut
Kangana Ranaut floored us with this elegant salmon and cream saree worn with a chikan embroidered blouse. So chic!

Kajol was seen sporting a lime green maxi-dress with copper hued detailing. We weren’t too enthused with this look. The semi-circular embroidery design is a tad uninspiring. And those clunky wedges are a strict no-no.
esha gupta
Esha Gupta
And finally, the super sexy Esha Gupta had us at a jaw-drop in this pretty yellow maxi, which also has a triangular cut-out at the back. She off set the yellow with lovely turquoise and gold jewelry from Atelier Mon.
