After 10 months of eager anticipation, it’s back. Sunday nights finally have meaning and it comes in the form of Game of Thrones. Starting today, I’m going to be re-capping all the fashion seen through the Seven Kingdoms, covering everything from Cersei’s braids to Jon Snow’s fur coats.
Spoiler Alert!
With no sight of the White Walkers, Episode 1 showed us major action in the form of Arya winning ‘Needle’ back and the arrival of a new bad boy in town who goes by the name of ‘Red Viper’. Meanwhile, Cersei and one of my favorites, Daenerys, both start to face problems, the former with her brother and the latter with her, now fully grown, dragons.
Here are the characters that made me sit up and look.
Ellaria Sand
Ellaria comes across as a super feisty one. Wearing a lust-worthy leather arm cuff and her effortlessly smoky eyes, the sultry girl from Dorne is one to watch out for.
Did you know she’s the girl who played the hoity-toity sister to Mr. Balraj in Bride & Prejudice?
Daenerys Targaryen
While she sticks to her uniform blues, she lets her eyebrows do all the talking. She’s strong but those strong brows make her look the part even more.
Quick Tip: Darken your brows with a kohl pencil; it adds one hell of a punch.
Margaery
On a more risqué side, Margaery’s gowns aren’t afraid to show a little skin. The plunging neckline and the medieval touch given to the ‘cut-out’ trend this season, if this is what she wears on a daily basis, I for one can’t wait to see her wedding dress.
Jaime Lannister & Brienne of Tarth
Well they both cleaned themselves up, that’s for sure! Jaime gets a new hand and Brienne throws on something that looks like a skirt. Either way, this odd twosome, when they’re together, make for some great one-liners.
I can’t wait to see what happens next, Sunday couldn’t come any sooner! Don’t forget to catch the show on HBO Defined every Sunday from 9 p.m. – 10 p.m. and tell us who your fashion favourite is.
