Here’s what you need to know. 80 year old Didion is a best-selling author who has multiple works of literature under her name. Some of these include The Last Thing He Wanted, Salvador, Miami and After Henry. But that isn’t all. In her senior year at college, Joan won a job at fashion magazine, Vogue and the rest, as they say, is history. A fashion icon was born and at 80 years old, the fashionista in Joan lives on.

International luxury brand, Céline just named Didion as the face of their Spring-Summer 2015 collection. In a pair of black-out sunnies, black sweater and what looks like a gold medallion hanging from her neck, you’ve never seen Joan Didion look this badass! While we’ve only seen the one photo from the shoot, we can hardly wait to see more.
