The fourth edition of H&M’s Design Awards came to a close last evening. Design students from around the world were picked out to participate and for the first time in four years, a menswear designer came out a winner. Ximon Lee, a student at Parsons presented his collection of exaggerated silhouettes and layered fabrics to a jury of Vogue editors, renowned photographers and major designers.
The prize involves € 50,000 and a chance to retail at select H&M stores as well as the website. Lee’s collection was inspired by a documentary titled Children of Leningradsky and you can watch the show here…
His collection will be out later this year and we’re wondering if a women’s collection is in the works as well!
Can’t wait to find out.
Psst, H&M has another collaboration on it’s way, see it here.
