Malaika Arora Khan for Satya Paul

Malaika Arora was recently announced as the new face for Satya Paul‘s Autumn-Winter 2016 collection. Titled Star Struck, this collection is divided into 3 looks- The Constellation, Zodiac Traits and Elements Of The Zodiac. The idea behind was to revive traditional weaves and techniques in a more contemporary context that could be relatable to today’s women. Using Benarasi weaves and Japanese shibori prints among other things, they get their point across beautifully. Obviously, you can’t really go wrong with a Satya Paul sari but this elemental collection is even more special. The prints are inspired by nature and the cosmos and it uses a mix of shibori and digital screen printing on minimal easy silhouettes that are fashioned from light, breezy fabrics. Blends of georgettes satins, silks crepe de chine and Chanderi along with a bespoke range of Benarasi silks make for a perfect Autumnal collection.

Kareena Kapoor Khan who’s the face of B:Blunt salon along with Adhuna Bhabani spilled the beans on the launch their 7 new shades of hair colour. It is a High Shine Crème Hair Colour that is absolutely ammonia free, which gives you another reason to trust  your mane with this product. The one problem that I face with hair colour is that my hair gets intensely dry and the secret to this product is that it comes with a shine tonic that adds lustre and shine to your hair. Problem solved!

We had fun chatting with Kareena not only about hair colour she’s endorsing but also the secret behind her maternal glow. She looked in the pink of health and it was as if she was radiating light and happiness. The mommy-to-be looked absolutely gorgeous with those extra pounds.

We have to hand it to the new kids on the block who brought an aesthetic that stands out from what’s already existing. It’s a very risky, bold and expensive decision that these designers make to put themselves out there. Watching this new bunch of talent on the runway is a big part of what makes fashion week exciting, and these designers have left no stone unturned to stand out at their best.

PV Sindhu kicked some serious butt at the 2016 Olympics by becoming the first Indian woman to win an Olympic silver medal. She also dazzled us with her appearance yesterday by looking like a goddamn Goddess. Today, she went to Manish Malhotra‘s store Angasutra where the designer was meeting his bridal clients, to see him and his clothes. Manish shared a photo with us which had Sindhu looking lovely in a Manish Malhotra creation.

If you visit Sonam Kapoor‘s Instagram page right now, you’ll see an epic throwback to all the Elle magazine covers she’s ever done that culminated with the most recent September 2016 issue. What a journey it’s been for our most stylish star, and we think that Elle couldn’t have picked a better cover girl to be on their 20th anniversary issue. Styled by Malini Banerji who put together a wonderfully quirky outfit, pairing Louis Vuitton with Adidas Original sneakers. Furthermore, makeup artist Namrata Soni (or should we say makeup genius?) gave Sonam a super dark dramatic lip and a glowing face, and slicked back hair to go with it! All in all, absolute perfection that was caught on camera by Rid Burman!

Brace yourself guys, cause Ranbir Kapoor is looking ridiculously handsome on the cover of Vogue. Dressed in high fashion labels Christian Dior and Roberto Cavalli, he took dapper to a whole new level. I’m absolutely loving the unusual combination of lilac and black that Anaita Shroff Adajania opted for. Posing with stunners Gizele Oliveira & Ketholeno Kense on each side would usually mean that they might steal all the attention, but not this time. They too looked really hot dressed in Balmain and Fausto Puglisi respectively, but all eyes were on Ranbir. Celebrity makeup and hairstylist Namrata Soni was responsible for them looking super sexy with her beauty inputs. With his hair styled by Hakim Aalim and makeup by Ajay Naik, Ranbir went grungy with his bearded look. This cover was shot by the talented Ram Shergill and we loved this frame to bits.

For the September Issue of Hello! Magazine Mr Singh looked quite dapper wearing a vest (sans shirt) with formal trousers. But the key thing here is his cameo trench coat… Just kidding, it’s his face and those smouldering looks – duh!

New month, new inspiration! We spotted the gorgeous Pooja Hegde on the cover of Verve’s September ’16 issue looking ethereally regal. We literally took a moment and put all our concentration on this beautiful lehenga from Anamika Khan. She carried a box clutch from Louis Vuitton and adorned some statement pieces from Jaipur Jewels. Celebrity makeup artist Sonam Chandna gave Pooja a flawless sheen on the face with a gorgeous dark lip that only made her look like a total maharani. Celebrity hair stylist Marcelo Pedrozo gave her hair an effortless side braid with a messy crown which gave us the rebellious vibes.

While we were being assaulted by the onslaught of new magazine covers this month, we stopped short at the sight of Victoria Beckham on the cover of British Vogue. This sexy, sexy human needs nothing more than a statement coat wrapped around her, while she lounges on a couch, to look every bit as appealing as cake does to a fat kid. Aside from the brick meets plum meets maroon coat, she had nothing else but some of her own gorgeous VBXEsteeLauder makeup highlighting her structured cheekbones and giving her face that beautiful glow. Red has always been a traditional wedding colour for an Indian bride. And I think that a bride should always stick to classics cause a wedding ensemble needs to be timeless. And Nimrat Kaur on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar Bride blew my mind with how simple and stunning she looked. For the September issue, she was dressed in a red outfit from AM:PM Couture. This red outfit had a red on red self-embroidery with absolutely no bling. The only bling that was present came was from the traditional jewellery by Hazoorilal Legacy, Shri Ram Hari Ram Jewellers and jewellery designer Sunita Shekhawat. I absolutely loved stylist Divyak D for the minimalistic styling with conservative jewellery that made her look like a classy and sophisticated bride. With her hair tied neatly in a low bun, hair and makeup artist Sandhya Shekar opted for subtle makeup and focused instead on making her skin glow.

Vaishali Shadangule has had her hand at designing for a while now. Showcasing collections at Amazon India Fashion Week and Wills Lifestyle Fashion Week in the past, Vaishali S has slowly worked her way up to play with the big boys of fashion.

Showcasing along with other designers like Vera Wang, Tom Ford, Anna Sui and Alexandra Wang at New York Fashion Week, Vaishali’s collection will include a lot of black, off-whites, neutrals and shades from the blue colour family among the woven textures and thread-work of her designs.

Well, in simpler words our main girl PC has done yet another thing to make us all proud of her. She’s been featured on the cover of the New York Post!

For the cover of the September issue of the newspaper Priyanka was styled by Anahita Moussavian in an ethereal mint green gown by Maria Lucia Hohan. A pair of matching Monolo Blahnik and jewellery from Vitafede accessorised the look. Her hair was done by Lacy Redway in an elegant up-do with few delicate strands falling effortlessly on the side. Yumi Mori gave her face a smoldering glow with a dark brown lip that complemented the attire.

The inside of the newspaper had a long spread of her photos from the shoot she did with Alexa. Among the many gorgeous pictures we found the above shot of her wearing a pastel pink Marchesa gown – simply flawless! Bibhu Mohapatra at NYFW 2016

Leading fashion designer Bibhu Mohapatra showcased his collection that was inspired by the pre-war Parisian era at NYFW 2016. This era symbolised literature, optimism and prosperity, which was clearly visible through his designs on the runway. This Indian-born-American-based designer started showing at New York Fashion Week in 2009 and is known for his expert craftsmanship. The runway came alive with his refined creations that showed off his tailoring and fabric expertise and created sophisticated, yet edgy looks. This time, he did the same using Paris, his inspiration, in mind. Also, this time, he collaborated with Forever Mark Diamonds who provided the stunning accessories that complemented his clothes. His aesthetic is timeless and beautiful just like diamond jewellery, so we’d say that they matched up perfectly.
